1 • Meet & Greet
Before we begin your project, we will meet with you to hear about your vision for your invitations and make sure we are a good fit! We can speak on the phone, over Skype or Facetime, or meet in person. In person we can review paper samples, color swatches, and example invitations. We will discuss the design style and pieces needed, your timeline, your budget, and available print processes.
Some couples have a specific look in mind for the invitations, while others have not settled on a desired design style or are open-minded, and we are happy to work with both ends of the spectrum! It is helpful if you have a mood board during the meeting, such as a Pinterest board, the colors you will be using for your wedding, or some photos that inspire the mood and style you would like to carry through to your invitations.
During this initial meeting, we will do our best to provide you with a price estimate so you will know what to expect when you receive the quote.
2 • Moving forward
After our meeting, we will put together a quote based on all of the details we discussed. We are happy to quote several different options, such as digital printing vs. foil stamping, so that you can compare prices.
If you are happy with the quote, we will sign a brief contract and move forward with the design! A 50% deposit is due at this time.
3 • Design
Now for the exciting part! We will create your custom design. Wording will be provided by you, and we are happy to work with you to guide you through writing your copy. We will email you a digital proof of your design. If desired, we will make adjustments to the design. Up to 3 rounds of edits are included in this phase.
4 • Printing
Next, the other exciting part! Once the design and text have your approval, we will send the files off for production. Before printing commences, the balance of the payment is due.
5 • Delivery
Depending on your preference, we can ship your invitations to you or meet you in person to hand them off! If you have opted to have That Joy fulfil your job each envelope will be stuffed with each piece and will be delivered ready-to-go. (These options are discussed in the initial meeting.)
6 • Day-Of Items
After your invitations are in the mail, we would love to continue working with you to carry the look of your invitation suite over to your day-of items, including welcome notes & itineraries, programs, menus, table numbers, place cards, seating charts, favor tags, cocktail napkins, coasters, and thank you notes. These can be discussed separately when your event gets closer.
